Who we are

St John Parker, Nybrogatan 64, 114 41 Stockholm, Sweden. shop.stjohnparker@gmail.com

We are the controller of the personal data described here. This policy covers stjohnparker.com and the checkout at shop.stjohnparker.com, which is the same shop.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The version on this page is the one that applies, and the date it was last changed is at the foot of it.

What you give us

When you order: your name, your delivery and billing address, your email address and, if you give one, your telephone number, together with what you bought.

When you write to us: whatever you choose to put in the message.

We do not ask you to create an account, we hold no passwords, and there is nothing here to join, review or collect points in.

We never see or store your card details. The card is handled by Shopify Payments and the numbers never reach us.

What is collected while you browse

The shop keeps visit statistics. Each page you open sends the address you are on, the page you came from, your browser and operating system, your language, a country worked out from your time zone, and a session number, to a service called Tinybird. This is placed on the site by Lovable, who host it for us. It is used to count visits, not to build a profile of you, and it is not shared with advertisers.

Cloudflare, who serve the site, set a cookie to tell real visitors from automated traffic.

Cookies and what is kept in your browser

  • __cf_bm — Cloudflare, to separate people from bots. Thirty minutes. Necessary for the site to be served safely.
  • session-id and __dpl — the visit statistics described above, set by the site's host.
  • Your language choice — written only when you press EN or SV, and kept in your browser.
  • Your bag — what you have put in it, kept in your browser so it survives a reload. It is not sent anywhere until you go to the checkout.
  • The checkout at shop.stjohnparker.com sets Shopify's own cookies, which are needed for a cart and a payment to work at all.

What we use it for, and on what basis

  • To take, send and account for your order — because we have a contract with you.
  • To answer you when you write — because we have a contract with you, or because we both have an interest in the question being answered.
  • To keep the shop running, working and safe, and to count visits — our legitimate interest in a shop that works.
  • To keep what the Bookkeeping Act requires us to keep — a legal obligation.

Who else sees it

Shopify, who run the shop and the checkout. Shopify Payments, who take the payment. The carrier who delivers the parcel, which needs your name and address. Google, because our email is a Gmail address. Lovable and Tinybird, for the visit statistics above.

We do not sell your personal data, we do not share it for advertising, and we send no marketing email.

Where it is processed

Some of these companies are outside the EU and the EEA. Where personal data is transferred out, it rests on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or on a decision that the country concerned gives adequate protection.

How long we keep it

An order and its paperwork: seven years after the end of the financial year, which is what the Swedish Bookkeeping Act requires. What you write to us: as long as the matter is open, and after that no longer than we need it. Visit statistics: as kept by the service described above, and not tied to your name.

Links to other sites

Where we link out, that site has its own policy and we are not responsible for it.

Children

The shop is not meant for children and we do not knowingly collect data about them.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection and payments are handled by Shopify, who are certified to the card industry's standard. No transfer over the internet can be promised to be perfectly secure.

Your rights

You may ask what we hold about you and get a copy of it; ask us to correct it; ask us to erase it; ask us to restrict how we use it; object to our using it on the basis of a legitimate interest; and ask for it in a portable form. Write to shop.stjohnparker@gmail.com and we will answer within one month.

Complaints

Write to us first. If you are not satisfied you may complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY), Box 8114, 104 20 Stockholm, imy.se. If you live in another EU country you may go to your own supervisory authority instead.
